WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Maxine Waters (CA-43) introduced a resolution to recommit the House of Representatives to bipartisan efforts to end the HIV epidemic in the United States and globally in recognition of National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. It also calls for a greater focus on the HIV-related vulnerabilities of women and girls.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Saturday in Los Angeles County, Congresswoman Maxine Waters (CA-43) joined over 3,000 people in protest against Elon Musk’s takeover of the government. Her remarks are below:

Washington, D.C – Today, Congresswoman Maxine Waters (CA-43) introduced the Affordable PLUS Repayment Options for Parents Act of 2025, which would make affordable, income-driven repayment (IDR) plans available to parents who have taken out “Parent PLUS” loans to send their children to college.
