Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-CA), Chair of the House Committee on Financial Services, announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has awarded a $2,215,647 grant to the City of Gardena for the GTrans Zero-Emission Bus Replacement Project, which will enable the City’s GTrans transit system to purchase as many as five zero-emission battery electric buses to replace older buses that have reached the end of their useful life.
