Rep. Waters Statement on Chemical Weapons Attack in Douma, Syria
WASHINGTON – Congresswoman Maxine Waters (CA-43), Ranking Member of the House Financial Services Committee, released a statement in response to reports of a chemical weapons attack carried out by forces under Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in the city of Douma, in the Eastern Ghouta region, near the capitol Damascus, this past Saturday night. The attack reportedly killed at least 40 people, many of whom were choking and foaming at the mouth.
