Congresswoman Waters poses with former D.C. First Lady Cora Masters Barry (center) and Congresswoman Barbara Lee (D-CA) (left). Congresswoman Waters attended a D.C. City Council meeting to defend the Southeast Tennis and Learning Center after it was threatened with being closed. The Center was founded by Barry and serves District families and children with educational and recreational activities. D.C. decided to keep the center open after an outcry from the community. October 1, 2009.
